So a couple of weeks ago my husband and I traveled to the beautiful island of St John to see Azita, my friend of 20+ years, get married. It was a great time, and a nice break from the crazy holiday season we are in at the studio.
Anyway, Azita has a sister and the three of us were very close all the way through high school and college, until we started to move away and do our own thing. She now lives in London and has a beautiful new baby, Farrah. I had the honor of photographing them while on our trip.
I have to say, that photographing one of your best friends children is much like photographing your own (maybe even better!). While this was the first time I was able to meet little Farrah, I completely fell in love with her. And watching my friend and her baby and their wonderful closeness was so incredible. I get teary looking at the images. I wish so much that they were closer, I know Sam would LOVE to play with Farrah, but I guess we will just have to go visit London!
